Nibblin' on king cake,

Watching the crooks take,

All of those tourists on Bourbon and Royal

Sittin' on a baracade,

Watching the Rex Parade,

Steppin' on fingers all covered in soil

 

Wasting away again in Mardi Gras Ville.

Searching for that last go-cup of beer.

Some people claim that it's the hurricane to blame,

But I know ... it's that Mardi Gras Cheer.
